A journey through the wonders: from the South to the North of Italy

Southern Italy and the iconic Cinque Terre are just some of the many perfect destinations for a trip rich in Italian culture, nature and tradition. This itinerary will take you through some of the most fascinating destinations in our country.

Campania

We start from Naples, a vibrant city rich in history, visiting its Gulf and the breathtaking panorama it offers, dominated by Vesuvius and the view of the sea. Just outside the city we find Pompeii, the ancient Roman city buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D, which offers a fascinating immersion in the past. After exploring the ruins, you can continue along the coast, famous for its spectacular landscapes and picturesque fishing villages and stop in Amalfi, visit the historic Duomo and walk through the narrow streets, taste the local specialties and enjoy the sunset over the sea; then get to know Positano and the characteristic-colored houses that climb the cliff. The Amalfi Coast remains one of the most fascinating destinations in the Mediterranean, perfect for long walks and unforgettable photographs.

Basilicata e Puglia

We then continue towards Matera and its “Sassi”: ancient settlements of houses and churches carved into the rock, a UNESCO heritage site. The city offers a unique atmosphere, which seems to have come from another era. Continuing towards the coast we then reach Alberobello, famous for the buildings that have become the symbol of Puglia: the “trulli”, traditional conical houses in white stone which, although lacking supporting elements, are extraordinarily solid.

The journey continues in Salento, the southernmost tip of Puglia, known for its pristine beaches and picturesque villages. Don’t miss Lecce, “the Florence of the South”, with its majestic Basilica of Santa Croce and its richly detailed Baroque. The local cuisine is another attraction: the “pasticciotto leccese”, a typical dessert, and fresh fish dishes complete this experience between sea and culture.

Liguria

In the province of La Spezia, we find unmissable natural attractions: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso, the enchanting Cinque Terre, connected to each other by the Sentiero Azzurro. The ports of these fishing villages are full of fishing boats and in the “trattorias” you can taste typical fish specialties, as well as pesto, the most famous sauce of the region. We conclude our journey by continuing towards Genoa up to Portofino, the famous seaside village that thanks to the cobbled square on the port and the Castello Brown (a fortified building from the 16th century that today offers art exhibitions and views of the city panorama) offers a mix of elegance, nature and sea.
